Stockholm Regional Transport (SL) is experimenting with a wayfinding base-map which will encourage sustainable mobility by connecting transport modes with walking information. The base-map builds upon the same principle as Legible London and WalkNYC in New York, making it easier to walk by providing superior pedestrian information at multi-modal interchanges and decision points. SL is also piloting interactive screens, which integrate the map with live transport information.
This tour begins at Stockholm’s Central Station and follows the new wayfinding information around the city’s favourite tourist attractions using multiple modes of transport. The tour will feature a tram along the beautiful waterfront of Strandvägen out to the island of Djurgården, a boat trip past the Old Town’s Royal Palace and a walk past Stockholm’s City Hall.
