Neil is a globally recognised transport expert, academic, transport network designer, industrial relations specialist and business owner. His career in public transport spans over 40 years including more than 20 years as Chairman of Transit Systems. Neil is a regular speaker at global transport conferences such as the Thredbo Conference on competition and ownership in land passenger transport and the UITP Global Public Transport Summit. Neil is also a visiting lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics. He has passion for public transport and its role in enabling physical and social mobility. His other passion is building human capacity in local communities by supporting projects such as the construction of training centres particularly in Africa.
