Dr. Daniel Reck is transport engineer at transports publics genevois (tpg), the public transport operator in Geneva, Switzerland. He is in charge of conducting and improving data collection for public transport planning in the Greater Geneva area (1M+ inhabitants).
Daniel holds a Ph.D. from ETH Zurich, where he studied travel behaviour with emerging transport modes and their integration with public transport. His research has been covered in international media outlets (e.g., National Geographic, WIRED, The Globe and Mail, Die Zeit, SRF/RTS, NZZ). He is recipient of the OECD International Transport Forum’s 2021 Young Researcher of the Year Award.
Prior to academia, Daniel gathered several years of experience in management consulting for large transport organisations and public ministries.
