Tom Page is the Head of Business Strategy for Transport for London. He is responsible for bringing together the activities across TfL into a coherent whole, understanding what corporate approach TfL requires for it to continue to serve London. This involves work on our business plan, corporate strategy, capital strategy, the markets in which we operate and the risk we need to overcome. The nature of this role requires a breadth of cooperation and knowledge from across and beyond TfL. Tom has Masters Degrees from the University of Durham (Physics) and Imperial College London (Transport) and has thirteen years of experience in public transport ranging from network planning, finance, stakeholder and contractor engagement and a particular focus on corporate strategy.

    London has decades of experience in contracting services, and must never stop challenging itself to improve. This has meant changes to the contents and methods of how we contract. This presentation describes the current London context, a brief bit of history and looks at how we've flexed the model to adapt for the needs of London, and how we're taking this forward.
