Josep Mension, PhD in Civil Engineering, Master’s Degree in Mobility Planning and Direction, Postgraduate Degree in Municipal Engineering. He started his professional activity as a Hydraulic Engineer at “INYPSA”, a civil engineering consulting firm in Barcelona, and as an associate professor of Geometry at UPC Barcelona TECH.
He has been directly involved in Public Transport and Urban Mobility issues since 1999, when he joined TMB, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona. After playing different roles, he is currently the Bus Central Services Division Director. He is the Bus primary contact at the International Bus Benchmarking Group (IBBG), a grouping of medium and large worldwide urban bus organisations administered and facilitated by the Transport Strategy Centre at Imperial College London. He participated in several international projects and is currently a UITP Research in Mobility Committee member, representing TMB.
