Dr. Youngkook Kim is a visiting fellow at the International Transport Forum – OECD dispatched from the Korea Transport Institute. He has participated in diverse projects focused on sustainable transport issues as well as the relationships between transport policies and social-economic-environmental effects, such as bus rapid transit system, regional rapid bus system, urban-type walkable pathways, nomadic device service platform for micro mobility, postal delivery system based on electric vehicles, and the economic impacts of Korean high speed railways.
He earned a Doctorate degree in City and Regional Planning from the Ohio State University, particularly focused on urban air quality linking with transportation, land use, and meteorology. He also majored in architecture engineering and hold a bachelor and master degree followed by several years of practical experiences in a research institute, a construction company, and an IT venture company in Seoul, Korea.
