Responsible for a report on sustainable urban mobility when the Volkswagen scandal broke out, she gradually specialised in the issues linked to air pollution and the future of mobility. In February 2016, after having worked to set up a European Parliament inquiry committee on the “dieselgate”, she became vice-president of the Commission of Inquiry on the measurement of emissions in the automotive sector. She published a book on the “dieselgate” in 2019. She is also a member of the Employment and Social Affairs Committee where she continues to defend the health and safety of workers and fight against social dumping, particularly in the transport sector.
