Erik Bergqvist joined Voi – Europe’s leading micro-mobility startup in October 2018 — responsible for many of the partnerships the company engages in — and has been a part of the market development team taking Voi to 21 cities across Europe. In the past decade, Erik spent more than 7 years working, completing his Bachelor and dual Master degrees in cities like Budapest, Boston, Shanghai and San Francisco, cities with their own share of mobility challenges. The passion for shared mobility has always been an integral part of Erik’s life, as his father runs a family owned car rental firm in Sweden that has been around since 1965. And since the day of the inception of e-scooters taking place on the public domain in San Francisco where he lived at the time, the entrepreneurial side and the passion for shared mobility have been the driving force for working to bring shared light electric vehicles to the streets of Europe in the name of Voi.
Founded in August 2018, Voi is a Scandinavian urban mobility company offering electric scooter sharing in partnership with cities and local communities. We believe e-scooters can play a central role in changing how people move in our cities in the future. And we want to make sure that the transformation happens the right way – through real innovative technology, open and transparent dialogue with cities and Governments and by adapting our product to local needs. Jump on a scooter anytime and ride wherever in the city – completely emission free.
