Jan Aichinger can look back on 30 years of experience in the bus sector starting in 1989 when he joined NEOPLAN. Following various positions in the German sales region for his first employer he moved to Daimler Buses in 1998. Beside different positions in Central Sales, his career there included appointments as Sales Manager, first in Saudi Arabia and then in South Africa. This was followed by time in the UK as CEO of the local company. In 2014 he switched to MAN Truck & Bus, where he was at first responsible for global sales and key account management. Since 2016 he has been in charge of Product Marketing.

    How can digitization become the game changer for the future requirements of cities

    MAN would like to share with the audience the results of the study and explain how that has influenced our thinking about cloud based open source data management within RIO, about MANDigital as the platform providing customised vehicle data and services, and about Transport Solutions, our MAN consulting team supporting operators, PTAs and Cities to understand which technical solution will bring the best ecological and economical result for which transport requirement. The focus shall not be on presenting our products and services but on how we believe that in a cooperative way between all stakeholders the burning question mentioned above can be solved and how OEM can contribute to it.
