Thomas Ahlskog has a master in urban studies from Uppsala University and a bachelor in history and political science. Thomas has worked with security related issues his whole professional career and before joining MTR in October 2018, he worked for the Ministry for Justice. He is well acquainted with the security issues in the public transport system, since he has worked out a methodology for mapping out the environments around the stations in order to find solutions for a more secure experience going to and from the station.
