FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik
The FZI is a non-profit institution for applied research in information technology and technology transfer. Its task is to provide businesses and public institutions with the latest research findings in information technology.
Led by professors from different faculties, interdisciplinary research teams at the FZI develop and prototype concepts, software, hardware, and system solutions for their clients. Consequently, scientific excellence and interdisciplinary practice are well established at the FZI.
In its research on mobility, the FZI concentrates on automation, interconnection, electrification and mobility services applied in public transport, commercial and delivery traffic. In the project regiomove, for example, the FZI works on modelling individual user preferences in order to gain more efficient routing results when using different means of transport and to recommend matching services according to a user’s mobility habits.
